Kingdom Quest

When you first enter Legoland Discovery Centre you’ll have the opportunity to Kingdom Quest.

Think Duel or Ninjango style interactive shooting game, Holly and Oscar love it and it’s alright for a little indoor ride.

Lego Grand Prix

Build and race your creations down this dual race track style ramp before posing on the winners podium.

Duplo Building Area

Giant soft blocks for smaller guests to use their imagination. There is also a small climbing frame area along with these giant duplo animal friends.

Lego Friends : Heartlake City

Holly loved this area, grab your bricks and get creative with the Heartlake City characters.

Mini land

This is actually my favourite part of Legoland Discovery Centre. They have a whole room filled with mini versions of local attractions including the NEC, Warwick Castle, Edgbaston Cricket ground and lots more!

Most of them are interactive too so you can press buttons and they either move, play sounds or both. It’s crazy how detailed they are and I am in awe of the patience it must have taken to build them.

Coffee Shop

Selling a variety of hot and cold drinks and snacks. There is limited seating inside and out.

But you can find seating areas dotted around.

There is another larger soft play climbing frame, it was absolutely heaving when Holly went on it and she soon came off because it was too busy for her.

More building areas….

Merlin’s Apprentice

Whoever thought putting such a high height limit ride in here is not my friend. When on your own with children unless they are over 4ft (approx 1.22m) they can’t ride alone but they have to be at least 3ft (approx 92cm) to go on it at all.

I’m pretty sure it’s only 2 people to a car so even if Oscar had been tall enough I still wouldn’t have been able to take them on it.

Gift Shop

Of course you can’t get out unless you go through the gift shop so I was talked into buying Oscar a soft sword and Holly another backpack. Although this one has become our main backpack and we use it all the time as it’s huge!

Although I am personally not a fan of Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham because it’s too crowded and too hot for me. The kids do love it so I am sure we will be back again soon, hopefully when Holly is tall enough to ride alone and I can go on with Oscar!
