This is going to be a pretty brief review of The Park Royal Hotel & Spa Warrington as I just joined my friend and her children for the night before we visited Chester Zoo.

This beautiful hotel is located just 15 minutes away from Manchester airport it is perfect for a pre-holiday stop over. It’s also only 30 minutes from Chester Zoo and 20 minutes from Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Village.
There is a huge car park although I did drive straight past the turning to it and had to turn around. I have added the What3Words above so you don’t make the same mistake!
The Park Royal Hotel Rooms
We think we were in a deluxe family room – we had 2 interconnecting rooms which was perfect for us as 2 adults with 3 children.
One room had a king size bed and a small pull out single, the other had 2 singles and a pull out sofa chair bed (which we didn’t use)
The pillows were a bit too squishy for me but the bed was super comfy and the duvets had a nice weight to them which I loved snuggling into.
We didn’t get much noise even though we overlooked the main car park which was nice and the curtains really are black out.
Our room had an iron and ironing board, the twin room had a small fridge with these drinks in which were included as part of our room package. Although there wasn’t actually a bottle opener so we couldn’t drink them! We also had the usual tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits.
The bathroom was roomy and had a really cool light up mirror which would be perfect for getting ready. Shower gel, hand soap and body lotion was in dispensers on the walls.
Breakfast
Breakfast was so good! Along with the usual full English buffet they had a good selection of cakes and pastries and an extra ‘from the kitchen’ offering including pancakes, porridge, poached or scrambled eggs, gluten free bread, veggie sausages and a continental cheese and sliced meats platter.
So in the interests of making sure I tried a variety of food options, after my main breakfast I opted for a second breakfast of pancakes with sliced banana and maple syrup. Again, delicious!
The coffee was from a machine and waaaay too strong for me even with extra milk, I am just too basic for these fancy coffee machines and prefer an instant cup!
If breakfast isn’t included in your room rate you can add it on for £17 per adult and £8.50 per child with 4s and under eating free.
Leisure Areas
We had a look round the hotel and found they had tennis courts out the back, my friend did take her children swimming before I arrived as they have allocated child friendly swim times.
They also offer a gym, sauna and steam room along with a fitness suite with various different classes.

Dining
Although we didn’t have dinner in the main hotel the menu looked really good and from seeing what other people were having it looked to be really nice food.
Overall The Park Royal Hotel is a really lovely hotel and the staff were so wonderful. They also offer event space, spa packages and even weddings on site or starting with a ceremony at the Grade II listed St Matthew’s Church just across the road.
