As always I treat the à la cartes to their own post so as not to make the main post super long!
Firstly download the Bahia app and register your booking and make sure you check in as soon as it opens. This is 10 days before your stay, as the restaurants get booked up super quick.
We only managed to book into 4 for our stay, so here are our thoughts on the ones we did manage to get into.
All menu options are correct as of writing this on 26th August 2025
The childrens menu seems to be fairly consisted across all of the restaurants thankfully

Conveniently located right next to our block we didn’t have to travel far for this one.
We started off with bread for the table (which was soooo good) and they had Mimosa’s for us and a non alcoholic cocktail for the kids.

Although the setting was lovely, the main food wasn’t as good as the Italian. The beef filet looked good but was quite tasteless which was a shame. The desserts were a saving grace and kept us from knocking it down to a 6.

Gaz said it would have been a 10 but the wait time knocked off a point as the service was very slow.
La Gran Tortuga – Brazilian (Tulum)
OMG – if you only book one restaurant MAKE IT THIS ONE! It was so hard to get a table, I checked every single day from 10 days prior to check in and nothing was available and the 2 days before we were leaving 2 seats came available for the next night!
Located on the beach in the Tulum resort it has views out to the sea, unfortunately it was almost dark by the time we got there but would be lovely on the lighter nights.
La Gran Tortuga is the Brazilian restaurant and works slightly different to the other à la cartes as you have a buffet for starters and desserts and then the meat swords are served at the table.

- Treat yourself with our Chef’s creativity
Appetizers
- Visit our salad bar where you will find a wide variety of vegetables cuts, cold meats and hot entrees.

Followed by the entrees we will present on your table a great selection of meats, which are served in traditional swords, well known as “ESPETO CORRIDO”.
- Spicy Sausages
- Chicken
- Turkey
- Pork Cuts
- Lamb
- Fish
- Beef Cuts
NOTE: On your table you will find a card that works as a traffic light, when it’s green it will indicate us that you are ready to begin, and when it’s red, it will indicate us that we must stop, meaning that you are satisfied.
Dessert bar and fresh seasonal fruits
- Enjoy a wide selection of desserts and fruits at our buffet.
The meat was INCREDIBLE the server was so quick I could barely catch a photo even when he posed for me!
As always any questions just ask!
