Somewhere cosy to go to unwind after a long day, make delicious and nourishing meals for you and your family, do your hobbies, sleep and make memories with loved ones. You want to walk in and know exactly what kind of person you are and what your interests are. There are a few ways you can refresh your home to make it more cosy, feel loved in and more you. 

Rugs, Pillows And Throws

These decor items will make a world of difference in a room, it can go from bland to beautiful. It makes the whole room look cosy and by simply changing up the elements of rugs, throws and pillows in your room you can change the whole colour scheme. You could even change it seasonally to reflect the seasons. A good investment is laminate flooring as it gives the floor a blank space and having a cosy rug on laminate flooring will look much better than having it over carpet. 

Add Greenery

A quick and easy way to change up your room and make it look fresh and inviting on a budget is to add greenery. Plants and flowers bring warmth to a room and really stand out as a focal point. Also as with forest bathing, bringing plants into your home can make you feel more calmer naturally. Not to mention they are very beneficial to health as well as decor. Certain house plants you can get can be air purifying which means it will make cleaner air for you in your home. Perfect if you suffer from dust allergies.  

Rearrange furniture

There is one way to make your home feel fresh and new without even spending a penny. A simple rearrangement can do wonders. One of the things you can start to do is map out how big the furniture is in that particular room and see where else it could go. You could change the whole focal point of the room as soon as you walk in. Be sure to be safe when you are moving stuff though, get someone to help move heavy furniture so you don’t end up injuring yourself. 

Experiment With Wallpaper

There are so many beautiful designs of wallpaper and you can really transform and refresh a room with a focal wall or even wallpaper the whole room if it’s a more neutral-toned wallpaper. The advantage of wallpaper is that when you go to a home improvement store you can get wallpaper testers for free and will be able to see what suits the room before committing. You are also able to get peelable wallpaper now so even if you rent you will be able to put up wallpaper and take it off without damaging the wall or creating too much work for yourself.
