Another long overdue review, so forgive me for the briefnes. Maybe one day I will catch up on my latest visits but today is not that day!

For a little birthday treat Sarah and I booked an overnight stay at the Malmaison Birmingham Mailbox
Check in was swift and our room was ready on arrival so off we went.
Room
The rooms at the Malmaison are just as plush as you would expect. With no ‘big light’ the side lights give it a lovely soft glow and cosy feel along with the big fluffy blankets on the bed.
We had 2 huge beds between us and this room sleeps 4 adults.

We had a beautifully spacious bathroom with a nice sized bath and shower.
The coffee machine comes complete with coffee pods and some Ferrero Rocher which came home with me for Gaz (am I the only person who thinks they are disgusting?!)
Gym
The gym is free to use and I was the only person in there when I went down to use it. It is pretty well equipped, clean and perfect for what I needed.
Spa
I am not really a ‘spa’ person but being as we were here we thought we may as well pay it a visit. The jacuzzis were out of use so we couldn’t test those outs but they also have a sauna, steam room, showers and quiet room which doubles as a waiting room for those booked in for treatments.
Food – Dinner
And onto the bit we were most looking forward too (other than a childfree nights sleep of course!)
We started off with cocktails, olives and bread before moving to the main restaurant. I of course had steak (delicious but no competition for ounce) and a chocolate dessert with min chocolate chip ice cream.
Once we were done we rolled ourselves off back to our room…
Breakfast
Breakfast at Malmaison is a combination of continental and cooked – my favourite combo of carbs. Again it was lovely food and a nice end to our stay.
We booked a Dinner and Breakfast package which is available on booking.com from around £226 (1 night, double room, 2 adults, 5th March 2027) this worked out well for us as we didn’t have to venture out of the hotel if we didn’t want to.
I would highly recommend a mum night away at Malmaison Birmingham (or any hotel to be honest) and can’t wait for our next stay.
