St Peters Garden Centre Santa and Light Trail

A couple of weeks ago when I didn’t feel like death I booked for Holly and Oscar to go see Santa and do the Light Trail at St Peters Garden centre. I had considered the Malvern Winter Glow but the prices made my eyes water, especially when you just never know what mood they will be in on the day!

Where is St Peters Garden Centre?

Address : Farm Pear Tree Dr, Norton Rd, Brockhill Village, Worcester WR5 2NY

Free parking is available on site.

Light Trail & Santa Experience Tickets

Cost  £19.99 per child (with 2 adults free per child)
Includes – Gift bag, one free ride token for the Fun Fair, £2 off voucher for Poppy’s Cafe, Light Trail ticket, group meeting with Santa and a present.

Mini Funfair

Just inside the garden centre you’ll find a choice of 3 rides. If you have purchased tickets for the Santa experience you get 1 free ride token in your goodie bag or you can buy 4 ride tokens for £5

We swapped our vouchers for tokens and they decided to go on different things.

Oscar wanted to get on the top of the bus and Holly went for the trampolines.

The third option was the chair swing but neither of them were interested in that one.

Santa Visit

The Santa visit is a group visit but probably one of the best we have been too! It is held inside a large yurt which we thought was going to be freezing but it was actually very toasty.

The children were called up one family at a time (by name which made it seem like they were on Santas ‘list’) and they got to have a conversation with Santa which wasn’t rushed at all.

Holly also got an extra gift (a bag of candy canes) because it is her birthday tomorrow, which she is very excited about and they both got a little teddy.

St Peters Garden Centre Light Trail

The light trail is short but long enough for Holly and Oscar. When you enter the light trail the welcome Elf sets you a task to help find all of Santas Reindeer.

You can tick them off in the activity booklet from the goodie bag on your way round.

Reindeer Food Station

Along the light trail were a few activities the first one was to make Reindeer Food. Just grab a bag and fill it with a pinch of elf flakes, a handful of flying powder and a sprinkling of invisibility dust!

More reindeers and lights around the pond, it was very pretty and we were so glad for no rain.

Wishing Well

Next we found the wishing well. You could toss coins in and make a wish, thankfully I had some in my purse.

Holly was super pleased with herself that she managed to read all the names and find all the reindeer.

Oscar had had enough by this point and didn’t want to pose for anymore photos.

Poppy’s Cafe

At the end of the light trail is Poppy’s Cafe. In your goodie bag is a £2 off when you spend £5 voucher.

I had the best ‘Hot Chocolate Deluxe’ with squirty cream and marshmallows – yum!

In the goodie bags you also got a chocolate Santa and your very own baby Christmas Tree! I have no idea how long they take to grow but I nearly fell over when I saw the cost of a real one inside the garden centre so we will be growing these ones to decorate in the front garden.

We thought this was a great little experience for the money and I would definitely book again if St Peters Garden Centre do it next year. The only thing it was missing was Ice Skating which they are both desperate to do.
