Try a new food every month

So one of my 40 things before I am 40 tasks was to try a new food every month.

Bit of backstory for this one – I am FUSSY when it comes to food, I don’t like textures that are mushy or slimy and I can be icked out just by the look of something. So this is a massive challenge for me that was suggested by someone at work (Cheers Tom!)

It will be a huge achievement if I manage to actually try 12 new things – I will update this post every month so you can see what I have tried and feel free to add some suggestions!

February – Olives

Everyone kept telling me how lovely these are and when a bowl was accidently added to our tables order and they said we could have them on the house I thought it was a great opportunity to start the challenge!

I can not describe the level of instant regret of adding this as a challenge when I was trying to convince myself I wanted to eat this though.

The only way I can describe them is it tastes like the colour green and I nearly puked straight after.

0/10 do not recommend!

March – TBC

April – TBC

May – TBC

June – TBC

July – TBC

August – TBC

September – TBC

October – TBC

November – TBC

December – TBC

January – TBC

Hopefully I will make it through the year with 12 new likes (or dislikes if the start is anything to go by) but at least I will have tried some new things!

hahaha! Olives do taste like the colour green! They are disgusting, I can’t understand how people enjoy eating them. Good luck with trying some new foods! x
