11 Regents Road Blackpool Review

With so many of us travelling we decided rather than a hotel, a whole house would be better for us! We found 11 Regents Road Blackpool on which was perfect for the 11 of us – 4 adults and 7 children – 10, 9, 5, 4, 3, 18 months and 10 weeks!

We paid £756 for a weekend mid August with my Genius Discount from booking.com (Don’t forget you can get cash back via Top Cash Back – it’s currently up to 3%)

11 Regents Road, Blackpool

The property has 4 bedrooms, a dining room/ lounge, and a lounge leading into the kitchen. The only downside is it does only have 1 bathroom (it could really do with a 2nd toilet downstairs!)

It is located within a few minutes walk of the northern end of Blackpools main stretch by the Tower and Sea Life Centre.

The house has a gated entrance and 3 steps up to the front door. There is a key safe so no worrying about needing to arrive at a certain time.

In the entrance hall you’ll find coat hooks and a key hook box too. The entire downstairs has laminate flooring.

The Front Lounge

The front lounge has a dining table which seats 4 and 2 fold down futon style sofa beds. There is also a TV in here. We mainly just used this room to park our buggies in!

Back Lounge

In here you have an L Shaped Sofa (it was SUPER comfy) and a TV and it leads into the Kitchen.

The Kitchen

The kitchen had all the basics you need Cups, plates, bowls, cutlery and a Fridge, Freezer, Washing Machine, Kettle, Toaster, Microwave etc

There is also a highchair, iron and ironing board.

We were surprised no cleaning products were left (other than a small amount of washing up liquid) as we do leave things like this for our guests.

Bedrooms at 11 Regents Road Blackpool

There are 4 bedrooms here, Bedroom 1 has bunkbeds, Bedroom 2 & 4 have a double bed and Bedroom 3 has 2 singles. They could all do with new mattresses as they were paper thin, certainly not the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in! The pillows were also not great.

Bedroom 1 – Bunkbeds

The kids were fighting over who got this room, they all wanted to sleep in the bunk beds! This was a pretty small box room but fine for the kids and had a small chest of drawers behind the door.

Bedroom 2 – Double bed & Travel Cot

This was our room and the travel cot was here when we arrived which was great. There were 2 small chest of drawers/bedside tables and a wardrobe. Take your own hangers as there wasn’t anywhere near enough if you are staying longer than a weekend.

The road is pretty busy and the windows don’t provide the best noise insulation, I actually got up in the night to close the window to find it was closed and it just let in a lot of noise!

Bedroom 3 – Twin Room

Holly and Jess chose this room, again it has a chest of drawers / bedside table and a wardrobe with a view of the small courtyard back garden.

Bedroom 4 – Double bed

The final bedroom which is at the very back of the property, another double, was much quieter. It again had the small chest of drawers / bedside table and also a larger chest of drawers.

Bathroom

I managed to forget to take a photo of the bathroom some how! but it was fairly standard with a full size bath, with a shower screen. The shower was ok. Again no hand soap etc was supplied, but we did leave ours for the next guests to use!

Outside Areas

To the front is a small paved area just big enough to store a buggy or mobility scooter.

The rear garden is again a small area with loose gravel, there is a locked gate so little ones couldn’t escape easily!

We could have done with a small washing line out here as it wasn’t really suitable for anything else as there wasn’t any seating etc.

Parking for 11 Regents Road Blackpool

There is parking outside however it is limited to 1 hour with out a residents pass, this was fine for just unloading the cars before going off to the long stay round the corner.

I use a couple of different sites to locate the best parking YourParkingSpace and JustPark or there is a long stay car park just round the corner in South King Street Car Park which is pay and display and cost us £20 for the whole weekend – you can’t prebook it though and we managed to get the last 2 spaces.

11 Regents Road Blackpool Summary

We had a great weekend in Blackpool and although the beds weren’t the best it wouldn’t put us off staying again. Alison the host sent us all the information we needed to access the house on the morning of our stay and responded quickly to any queries we had.
