Clubhouse for Android? Sort of

Ever since Clubhouse was launched on iOS back in March 2020 us mere Android users have been waiting (Im)patiently for our turn and it looks like it is being rolled out on Google Play store finally so you can finally install Clubhouse on Android handsets – yay!

I preregistered for updates of its release when I saw the other day you could register your interest, although I already have an ‘account’ on my iPad, its rare I can manage to tear my daughters off it to even allow me to charge it let alone actually make use of it! So having it on my phone will certainly make it more accessible for me to use for my business – think I will settle for joining conversations rather than hosting them for now though!

So What is Clubhouse?

Clubhouse is an invitation-only social media app for iOS and Android where users can communicate in voice chat rooms that accommodate groups of up to 5,000 people. The audio-only app hosts live discussions, with opportunities to participate through speaking and listening. Wikipedia

So in short you can real real time audio conversations within groups of your target audience – great for those who, like me, have a lot to talk about!

It is popular among celebrities and coaches, the only thing to take note of is conversations aren’t recorded so you can’t play them back.

It has been invite only up till now so you likely won’t just be able to download and use it right away but you should be able to register your interest and username ready for when you do get an invite. I have noticed with some of my wholesalers who do rooms on clubhouse they send out invites which help you ‘queue jump’ your registration so if you have wholesalers you use be sure to keep an eye out for them setting this up!

I’m really excited to get using this and finding out more about how it works, so if you have any suggestions on who to follow I’d love to hear your recommendations

When you join I suggest jumping in the ‘New to Clubhouse – Start here’ room where you’ll find lots of useful tips to get started 🙂

I have noticed a few things are unavailable to android users- There was no bio option but this has now been added but you can’t yet link to your instagram like iOs users can

If you need an invite feel free to drop me a message below and as I have them available I will send them out

Happy Chatting!
