You might have seen I shared a post a bout getting a free shampoo bar from grüum (pronounced groom) on my page the other day. Well I ordered the free bar and added on a whole load of other products to try because I have some sort of shopping addiction and can’t just get the freebie (Yep the totally have their targeting spot on because I was hooked in to looking with the freebie and ended up spending!)
I fell in love with Shampoo bars back when I was gifted one for Christmas last year from Lush but I couldn’t get on with the conditioner bar as it was chalky
I only ordered these on the 6th May and they arrived yesterday (10th May!) so a pretty swift delivery too which is always a bonus.
All of Gruums products have natural ingredients, all the packaging is made from biodegradable materials. Their product range includes skincare products, personal care products, disposable razors, toothpaste tablets and face masks.
What I ordered from grüum
Revitalising Plastic Free Bundle
As the name suggests these products are all plastic bottles / plastic packaging helping fight the plastic waste epidemic.
Shampoo bar (this was free) – I have the Revitalising Cocoa Butter for dry and damaged hair and a single bar can do up to 60 washes and is equal to the equivalent of around 2 bottles of regular shampoo
*Update 24/12* This bar has lasted me pretty much to the end of the year, it’s just getting to the point of needing replacing.
Conditioner Bar – again I went for the Revitalising Cocoa Butter for dry and damaged hair and like the shampoo a single bar can do up to 60 washes and is equal to the equivalent of around 2 bottles of regular conditioner
Orange & Grapefruit Body Bar & Sisal Soap Bag – This bag is perfect for popping the soap in as using like a loofah and it even has a little loop to hang it up to dry out. I went for the orange and grapefruit body wash bar which also contains coconut oil.
*Update 24/12* Again this bar has lasted me pretty much to the end of the year, it’s just getting to the point of needing replacing.
Body Bar Carry Tin (think these are fairly self explanatory!)
Shampoo Carry Tin
These tins are a great sustainable option and a great replacement to reduce the amount of waste you produce.
Diatomite Dish – When I was popping this one back in the box , this information on the back really got me! When you are done with your dish, to recycle/reuse it you can crumble it up to make a powder. It can then be added to plant soil to help regulate moisture levels and works as a non toxic pest repellent (clever eh!)
Lavender and Chamomile Salt 120g (also a freebie!)
The whole delivery smells amazing – I am still struggling to smell much since covid but I could really smell these as soon as I opened them so they must be pretty strong! All the products are made in the UK (hurrah for homegrown businesses!) and all cruelty free – They also make sure ALL of their packaging is recyclable, as you can see it is mainly card/paper based
grüum are currently offering FREE shipping on all orders over £18 and a FREE gift with all orders over £30. They also offer subscriptions so you never run out and they offer up to 50% discount too on the one off purchase price
I am looking forward to having a shower tonight to try this all out 😉

Their products sound fantastic! Shampoo bars are just the best. They are one of my favourite sustainable swaps I’ve made 🙂
