Today at The Lighthouse Burnham on Sea is the grand opening of the new outside bar, which The Lighthouse ran a competition to name, called Schlupps Bar. We used to love The Lighthouse carvery before covid so we are excited to finally be back here!
Thankfully the rain eased off in time for the 1pm start of the afternoons activities.
If you haven’t been to The Lighthouse before you’ll find it located opposite the entrance to Haven Holiday Village (so a great walking distance location if you are staying there) on Marine Drive or the car park entrance can be located on Highbridge Drive.
There is plenty of outside seating and parasols available where you can supervise the littles ones on the available climbing frame and swings
We could hear the music pumping out walking down the drive and the garden was already buzzing with families out in the sunshine after this mornings torrential rain!
The stage is set for the live music coming up later from 1Jovi (I wonder what songs he will be covering?), the hog roast is almost ready and the bar is OPEN!
The brand new Schlupps bar outside serves beer on tap, slushies and soft drinks (Us gin drinkers still have to go inside to the main bar unfortunately!)
The hog roast was delicious – rolls filled with meat, stuffing and apple sauce for £5 each. Even the little ones liked it (Winner!)
The bouncy castle arrived around 2.30pm and Holly was straight on it and that is where she stayed for the duration of our visit.
The party looks set to continue into this evening, but a great afternoon was had by all of us
