Well this was also a while ago *checks parkrun app* 12th April 2025 whoops. No wonder my phone has no memory!
I think this was part of our run clubs challenge last year – Pears in the Park which I only ended up doing around half of the parkruns we needed too.
First Timers Briefing
The first timers briefing was done by Ray (or so the volunteer roster tells me – apologies if it is incorrect!) It was really helpful they had an allocated space for it as they did have alot of first timers at this event.
The Course
The course is beautiful, I can imagine this would be a good PB course as it is pretty flat without too many twisty bits. Running round the lake was so lovely, we saw lots of ducks!
They had a good set up for the finish funnel too, where you didn’t leave it without collecting a token and having it scanned. I’m sure this helps stop tokens being taken home or lost.
