Part of my 40 things before 40 goals was to continue my a goal to read an average of a book a month. I have to do it on an average because I tend to binge read. I won’t read for ages and then I’ll get through 3 books in a weekend! So let’s get started on my 2024 Book Reviews…

First up for what I have been reading in 2024…

The Unmumsy Mum

I really wanted to like this book, because I knew I would relate to it. Only I didn’t, at least not as much as I thought. I did just feel like it was just a bit samey all the way through.

It travelled around with me and I still haven’t finished it but I wanted to move onto another book!

My Rating – 3/5 – Although I got bored, I did get what she was talking about.

Chris Atkins – A Bit of a Stretch

Quite the opposite to the previous book, I couldn’t put this one down! I cried quite a bit, it really makes you realise how the media manipulate the public with what they publish.

My Rating – 4.5/5 – I really enjoyed this and look forward to really his follow up books

Ruth Jones – A Love Untold

I didn’t realise until I finished that Ruth Jones is also quite a famous actress. But this book was brilliant. Again I cried, I laughed, I loved it all the way through and the ending was something I never saw coming! I think it’ll be tough to top this one in my 2024 book reviews!

My Rating – 4.9/5 – An easy read and absolutely brilliant.
