Today sees the return of the Eat Burnham On Sea Food Festival we were super excited that it tied in with us being down at the caravan as we do love this event!
This years event sees over 70 businesses selling everything from locally made Cider, Cake and Coffee to sweet treats for your four legged family members. There is something for everyone
Eat Burnham On Sea Food Festival Our Top Picks
We met Sally and Kathie from the Bee Sweet Co a new local business creating seriously chocolatey fudge bars & Heavenly cupcakes. We went for a selection of cupcakes – Vanilla, Lemon & Poppyseed, Chocolate (Gluten Free!) and Carrot Cake. They were beautiful soft sponge cakes topped delicious creamy icing. They offer postal delivery on some items so do check them out even if you aren’t local. You can find them over on Instagram here.
Next up we met the team from Yellow Door Cottage to grab some Pork Scratchings – My husband LOVES pork scratchings and he always says they tastes so much better when he gets them from food festivals! They had a selection from normal to Chilli ones with some added kick.
You can shop with them directly here and find them on Insta or Facebook
We did balance it out by getting some fresh fruit – Holly ate most of the one box of strawberries while we were walking round and Oscar will soon finish off the Raspberries he absolutely loves them! I thought I grabbed a card for this stand but it was just a general one for the event 🙁
And then more cake… because, well, I love cake haha! But this wasn’t just any old cake.. these are Home Made cakes by Juliet! She specialises in Gluten free, Wheat Free and Vegan treats so covering lots of the allergy bases which are sometimes harder to shop for. I haven’t had chance to try them yet but they look amazing 🙂
She is based in Minehead and you can find her on Facebook
We always have to find The Crepe Cart so everyone can have a Nutella filled Crepe – They are huge and actually are quite big enough to share, as you can see! They are cooked fresh to order with a filling (or fillings!) of your choice. You can find them on Facebook
And lastly I met Leigh & Rob from and Hullabaloos Drinks and grabbed some bottles of this amazing flavoured lemonade. I went for original, Raspberry and Elderflower options – All their bottles are fully recyclable, the lemonades are Vegan and Gluten Free and are made with real fruit juices. You can find them on Facebook , Instagram or shop with them online and they are also stocked in Gloucester Services 🙂
We had a great time, wandering round all the stalls, listening to the DJ and live music and it was just wonderful seeing people out having fun after so many months of being stuck inside.
