New Road Worcester Cafe (Formerly Foleys)

Today we took a stroll down to the Newly refurbished and relaunched Cricket Club Cafe, New Road Worcester Cafe (formerly known as Foleys)

You’ll find it located on New Road on the Cripplegate park roundabout (I’m not sure it is a roundabout but if you know Worcester you will know where I mean!)

We walked in from Henwick, but there is parking in Cripplegate Park or just over the bridge in Newport Street.

It was pretty quiet and we virtually had the place to ourselves, but it was a Tuesday morning in term time.

We grabbed a table overlooking the Cricket ground (ground? pitch? I’m not sure can tell I’m not a cricket fan!) This would be a lovely view on match days.

There is quite a good choice of food from breakfast baps to Paninis and of course hot drinks and cake. It took all my will power not to also have cake as they looked delicious but I am trying to be good before the half term asI know I will pig out with all the kids for the week!

If you are looking for any half term ideas check out my whats on post and also all the Kids eat free offers I have found.

The View

Managed to get a few pictures between the showers, I often forget how beautiful Worcester is when I’m busy dashing about in the car.

You get some beautiful views of Worcester Cathedral and the sky even behaved giving us a glimpse of the summer sky view

We were also watching the groundsmen going about their day, with the floodwaters rising I’d imagine they’ve got their work cut out clearing it all again shortly when it all recedes.

The Food

We both ordered a bacon and sausage bap – of course I had to be awkward and ask for no butter but they went to the kitchen and had one made specially for me as all the ones they had ready were already buttered (I’m so fussy I know!) – Thank you!

But they came out pretty quickly and were really good.

I also had a latte which was lovely and sat and enjoyed some quiet child free time with Gaz.

The toilets are accessible and have a baby change also

We never visited it before so can’t compare to how it was previously but New Road Worcester is a lovely little place and a great place for meeting friends.
