Shared Room Decor Ideas
When we finally completed after the seller messing us around and the estate agent being little to no help we had a real task on our hands getting the house ready to move into in just a few days before we had to leave our rented accommodation.
I thought I would start with Chloe and Lottie’s room as I really wanted them to have their own space straight away as we have moved so many times I was really excited for them to finally have their own room and have it decorated how they want.
Their room was just painted this sort of whiteish pink with this yellow wall at either end.
So this was my first project when we got the keys!
Lottie was on hand to supervise – we started off by painting the left and right walls white so we had a light base to start from.
Lottie’s Side
And then we started on Lottie’s end of the room, which of course she wanted pink. No surprise there.
She knew she wanted lots of pink, unicorn, girlie accessories so I got busy over on Amazon for what I could find!
Chloe’s Side
Unsurprisingly Chloe wanted blue, so Lottie got busy with painting her side too.
And of course we had to make a TikTok …
Once the walls were painted and the new carpet was down (my god the old one wasn’t good) we started with the decor.
As Chloe had gone with blue we thought we could make it look like a dreamy sky with cloud accessories.
These shelves are so cute! They are also really sturdy and Chloe loves them . You can find them on Amazon here.
Chloe also has this little battery operated cloud light that hangs on the wall, it can be hung from several different angles depending on how you want it.
She also chose this cloud rug from Sass & Belle we got it on Amazon for under £12
A few of the other accessories Lottie went for include this cute little hanging shelf with beads and tassels which was around £12 on Amazon and this Unicorn Dreamcatcher for around £11.
These curtains are advertised as blackout curtains – as you can see they are clearly not but they are perfect for the girls for what they need. We got them in 2 different shades of grey for either end of the bedroom.
They were also from Amazon and prices vary by size – you can tell this was a lockdown project as we couldn’t shop in store and Amazon was a real lifesaver to help get this done quickly!
Giving them their own end of the room with their owncolour choice has really helped in giving them their own ‘space’ we may take it a stepo further by adding a kallax to ‘seperate’ the room but we haven’t decieed on that for sure yet!
I hope you have found some inspiration from our Shared Room Decor Ideas – We have lots more before and afters coming from the rest of the house now we are almost finished and can’t wait to share them with you all
