Half term is nearly here so here is a round up of whats on in Worcester, discover new places to visit local to you.

The Cob House
There is a fun packed week over at The Cob House – Worcester Road, Wichenford, Worcester, WR6 6YE
Not only will be able to take part in one of the many activities they have planned for this week but you can also drop into the yummy Mayfly Cafe to grab a bite to eat.
Monday 21st – Pampered ponies 10:30am to 3pm
Rides can be pre booked via the website. There are half hour slots to choose from and the ride will be within that half hour. Suitable for age 2 upwards / up to 7 stone. £5 per ride
Although spaces may be available on the day pre booking is highly recommended.
Tuesday 22nd – Encanto 11am to 12pm
Join Mirabel & Luisa for a 1 hour workshop of singing & dancing. Fancy dress is welcome (and encouraged) (We need Bruno’s too!) Bunuelos for everyone taking part. £10 per child
Wednesday 23rd – Let’s go wild! 10am to 1pm
Foraging, bush craft & survival adventure with Simon. Children will learn what grows wildly that can be eaten, used for medicine or general survival out in the bush.
In the grounds and surrounding woodland of the Cob House. (Grownups can drop off or enjoy coffee/lunch in the Mayfly) Age 7-11 years group capped at 12 per session.
Thursday 24th – Laser tag & Laser clay shooting 11am to 2pm
BBC inflatables are bringing their Laser tag dome – players compete in a game. They’ll also be hosting their Laser clay shooting. 15 clays per game!
Tokens can be bought on the day. Suitable for age 5 upwards
Friday 25th
No activities BUT don’t forget the park is free entry, our animals like to see everyone and you can feed the reindeer, goats, chickens & aloacas!
Cafe is serving food until 3:30pm
Swan Theatre
The Swan Theatre have a couple of family friendly shows on over the half term – You’ll find them at The Moors, Worcester WR1 3ED
The Smartest Giant In Town

The Hive – Worcester Library
Little ones and pre-schoolers will love this interactive story time led by local author Giles Trigg, this Saturday 19th February at 10.30am!

Worcestershire libraries are bursting with creativity this half-term. So why not check out what’s happening at your local library and bust the boredom with some crafting fun?!
Kids can go wild with ‘Rumble in the Jungle’, design their own ‘Dog in Disguise’, take on ‘The Great Paper Caper Aeroplane Challenge’, or build a bird feeder – there really is something for everyone!

Worcester Cricket Club
Our half term cricket camp is the first of our exciting camp opportunities coming in 2022.
You’ll find us at Worcestershire County Cricket Club County Ground New Road, WR2 4QQ
Our Rapids camp, which will be softball based, will be an exciting two days of skills, drills, and games led by our phenomenal coaching team.
This two day camp will look to create dynamic fielders, powerful batters and skilful bowlers in all of our young people aged 5-11.
As with all our camps, we are always looking to enhance our cricketers’ skills whilst maintaining a focus on fun and engaging sessions!

A Monk’s life – 21 Feb – 22 Feb 2022 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Join us on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd February, from 10.30am – 3pm in the Undercroft Learning Centre & Cloisters, for free family fun and learning all centred around the monks that lived in the Cathedral building.
Explore the monastic story of the building, with crafts, games and activities, and even dress up if you like!
- Learn to write like a monk using a quill and create beautiful illuminated letters.
- Find out what the monks ate and what a meal time was like.
- Learn about the Infirmary. The monks ran a hospital for the sick and injured, but some of their cures were very weird to our modern eyes.
- The monks stocks of fish are running low – go “fishing” to help replenish the stocks.
- Explore the entire Cathedral and it’s links to the Monastic times.
Spring Fayre in the Cloister 10am – 4pm Free Admission
Join us for a Spring Fayre in our glorious medieval cloister this February.
Enjoy browsing over 20 quality craft and gift stalls in beautiful surroundings.
The Cloister Cafe and shop will be open and there will also be a series of recitals in the nave on the day, including the Cathedral Choir’s three oldest girl choristers performing a solo and ensemble repertoire, accompanied by organ. Joni, Lillian and Sophie have been choristers at Worcester Cathedral for over five years and each of them studies solo singing in addition to being part of choirs at their schools and across the local area.
The Commandery
Just over a week to go until our Spectacular Space half term stay and play sessions start at The Commandery Sidbury, Worcester WR1 2HU.
Lots of great activities, a drink and snack for children and then a trail to follow around the museum…perfect way to spend the day!
£5 per child for sessions(admission fees apply, please see our website for details about resident/season passes).
Resident passes are available for anyone who pays their council tax to Worcester City Council.
Individual pass: £7.00.
Family pass: £19.00.
Includes up to 2 adults and 3 children. Children under 5 are free.
Redpoint Worcester Climbing Centre
You’ll find us at The Railway Yard, Midland Rd, Worcester WR5 1DS
With over 1000m2 of roped/lead climbing and 500m2 of bouldering, sessions for individuals, groups and parties, there’s something to keep everyone busy.
This half term why not book on a 1.5 hour instructed session, all Equipment is Included and is suitable for ages 7-18. Sessions are £17.50
Parents/Guardians are required to stay on Redpoint premises for the duration of the activity at Redpoint Climbing Centre why not grab yourself a £5 meal deal from Boof’s Cafe – Any toastie, crisps and can for just £5

Little Owl Farm Park
Little Owl Farm Park reopens for 2022 on 19th February ready for the half term. You’ll find us at Owl Hill Lane, Dunhampton, Stourport-on-Severn DY13 9SS
They will be bringing back their lamb bottle feeding session, our girls loved doing these down in Devon so I’m sure this will be super popular!
West Midlands Safari Park
22nd – 24th February 2022 – Ticket prices and opening times vary
Duggee is coming to West Midland Safari Park Spring Grove, Bewdley DY12 1LF for three days during February Half Term!
He’ll be making personal appearances at intervals throughout the day. Come and see him at a Meet & Greet or at a fun-filled Stick Song Activity!
– Meet & Greet – Cameras at the ready to snap a pic with Duggee! Make sure you arrive early and if you’re not lucky enough to meet him in person, he’ll be waving to all his fans!
– Stick Song Activity – Join Duggee and his friend to bust your best dance moves to some Hey Duggee classics, including the Stick Song! This high energy, fun-filled activity lasts for 13 minutes, so there may be time for a high-five from Duggee at the end.
Please note, entrance to the appearances is subject to availability and on a first-come first-serve basis.
Appearances are included in the general admission ticket price and subject to availability.
