Worcester’s Big Parade – Elephant Art Trail

I might be a bit behind on my blog posts, especially as this happened over a year ago but I really wanted to share the photos of these beautiful pieces of art from Worcester’s Big Parade that I realise I never posted when I was clearing my camera roll out!

The art trail was held 13th July – 5th September 2021 around Worcester city centre and each piece was sponsored by a business. The larger elephants were designed / decorated by local artists and the baby elephants were decorated by local schools and community groups.

Oldbury Park did one but we didn’t actually manage to get a photo of it – whoops!

After the event all the elephants were auctioned off to help raise funds for the St Richard’s Hospice.

The 30 individually-designed pieces forming the town’s Big Parade raised £368,800 for St Richard’s Hospice. Two of the sculptures were each sold for £36,000! Source BBC News

Here are all the elephants we found

Sundown Stroll by Kristina Butigan

We didn’t find them all (although the map does tell you the locations it is alot of walking for small legs!)

The sun stayed out all day for us too so we did manage to get around quite a few of them.

Most of the elephants are located in outdoor areas but a few are in shop windows.

Incredible works of art

The large elephants are huge and so beautiful to look at. The time and effort put into the whole trail is incredible.

Baby Elephants

We visited Five Guys in the middle of our walking trip, can you tell? Chloe hung onto her milkshake for as long as possible!

Quite a few were located inside by Tui and Primark so we got round a quite a few in this area. All baby elephants of course.

We really enjoyed Worcester’s Big Parade 2021 and the previous giraffe one too.

Hopefully they will do another one in the future
