Yesterday I dragged my husband off to the local garden centre (St Peters Garden Centre, Pear Tree Farm, Norton, WR5) with the promise of breakfast (he is easily bribed!) I promised I didn’t need to get loads just some compost and plants / trees for our new raised beds in the garden. I really want to get our girls involved so I did buy some ready to plant things but also stocked up on Carrot, Pea, Parsnip, Beans and Pepper seeds so we can grow those and (hopefully) eat them. I loved when I was younger when the things I had grown myself were ready to eat I decided not to tell him how much trees cost, I saved that treat for him when it flashed up on the till at the end (although the Apple tree was 50% off, bargain!)
I have never been in the garden centre before, although we regularly use the Fruit Shack (highly recommend it!) so we thought we would have a wander round while we were in there. I was so surprised how much they sell other than plants, they had an amazing butchers section with some of the most delicious looking cuts and right next door is a food hall with delicious

And then for food…
The cafe is open for outside dining (there is an undercover area available for when the British weather is, well, British and wet! We had breakfast rolls and I also had cake, because I just couldn’t decide what to have! The breakfast rolls (do you call them rolls? Baps? Batches? This is an ever debated subject!) I had Bacon and Sausage, he had bacon, sausage and egg, they were a good size and delicious. I opted for victoria sponge cake (my favourite!) and again it was beautiful – we will definitely be back again now we know it is there!
You can find them on Facebook and Instagram – Definitely recommend paying them a visit if you are local to Worcester
I will post pics when they are all in place in the garden too
