October Beauty Boxes Comparison

Last month I Subscribed to a whole load of new beauty boxes so I could share my thoughts with you!

I’m going to start off with the ones most people already know about

GlossyBox

I think this one has to be the most well known brand of beauty boxes, founded in 2011. Boxes cost £13.25 on a rolling month by month subscription or £11.25 if you commit to 12 months (saving you £18 over the year)

Birch Box

Birchbox was founded in September 2010. You can sign up for a monthly box with no minimum subscription for £13.95 per month. 3 Months up front is £38.85 (£12.95 a box), 6 Months up front is £74.75(£12.45 a box) or 12 Months up front £145.40 (£12.12 a box – Saving £21.80 across the year)

For some reason this months box doesn’t have an info card in it, so I have had to have a mooch online to find the RRPs so these are only estimates

LookFantastic

So this is a bit of an odd one – The box I received and the box I should have received are 2 very different things! I have contacted Look Fantastic but haven’t yet had a response.

They don’t give a total box value or any RRPs in the leaflet.

Look Incredible

I can’t find much information about this company but I can see they were incorporated in November 2017 so I’m guessing they started around then. This box only offers full sized products – no sample sizes here!

This one is £35 a month on a reoccurring payment they don’t currently have any offers to buy 3/6/12 months upfront.

Inside the Look Incredible box was a note to say they aren’t able to put contents cards inside the box (but they could put a note?) and these will be emailed, however I don’t seem to have received it!

With your Look Incredible box you get a 5% discount code for when you spend over £20 online excluding beauty boxes.

Cohorted

Cohorted is the most expensive box I have on order but it also has the highest retail value (almost £290!) The packaging is lovely (and fully recyclable) and all products are full size.

This months also came with a ‘Check your tits’ guide as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You can keep the card to hang up as a visual reminder to do this once a month.

LoveLula box was reborn in 2017 after being purchased by Amarya. It is focused on Natural and Organic beauty products.

Summary of October Beauty Boxes

My October Beauty Boxes have contained a fabulous mix of goodies! I do find Glossybox and Birchbox have similar and duplicate products between them so I wouldn’t have both at the same time. LookFantastic was previously my preferred box but some of these new boxes are definitely worth a try if you want something else!

I think if I had to choose just one it would be a real tough choice between the Look Incredible and Cohorted but I think for the slightly extra cost the Cohorted is definitely worth it.
