The Business Box – Box 2

Last month I signed up to The Business Box monthly subscription service. I liked the box but I wanted to see whether it would continue to be as exciting to receive as lots of boxes start off well and then dwindle very quickly!

This months Business Box didn’t arrive until today (24th June) even though they do say they ship from 7th. Which does mean that I have missed one of the trainings that would have been available to me, it does say on the leaflet to lok out for an email but I can’t see any emails about this training in my inbox.

Trainings

Each month there are 2 trainings available to The Business Box subscribers. Junes traininges were

Jemma Farmer : How to blog to bring sales to your business which was on Friday 17th June (last week!) As I mentioned above it does say to watch your email for details but I have checked and I don’t have any emails about it 🙁

Kimba Cooper : Gamificaction for your business this one is on next week – Wednesday 29th June.

And if like me you have no idea what Gamificaction is…
Gamification is the strategic attempt to enhance systems, services, organizations, and activities by creating similar experiences to those experienced when playing games in order to motivate and engage users. Wikipedia

Whats in this months Business Box?

But anyway let’s get down to what is in Junes Business Box.

Here is everything I received this month

Have your life your way by Claire Sweet RRP £12.50

Claire lives in the Kent countryside with her husband and her 8 Alpacas. As a Financial advisor and Mortgage advisor she is now putting her skills to use helping small businesses organise their finances.

Claire shares ways to make your money help create a secure future and an incredible quality of life now.

I will be reading this over the next couple of weeks as I don’t have a book on the go at the moment and it won’t take me too long to get through it.

This is available as an ebook for £8, paperback for £12.50 or hardcover £21.98 here

Perfect Planner Co Social Media Planner RRP £12.50

Something I really am not keen on with subscription boxes is inflating RRPs on the products they include in their boxes.

I found this planner available to buy directly from the Perfect Planner Co for £9.95. I know it is only £2.55 but it’s just a bit naughty. I’m hoping it was perhaps just a typo but either way it’s incorrect.

The planner is pretty big (A4 size) and has a soft cover, I think it would be better if it had a hard cover but thats my personal preference.

I do like the layout of the actual planner though, I like they have included space for what you are posting on your personal Facebook account!

It is also undated so you don’t have to use it every week if you are like me and have so many wasted dated planners because you did it for a week and then forgot about it for 6 months!

You can grab this planner here for £9.95 or join their mailing list and get 10% off your first order.

Dock and Bay Large Microfibre Towel / Beach Blanket RRP £23

I am not a huge fan of microfibre towels, but you may have heard of this brand when they were featured on Dragons Den back in 2017.

They were backed by Deborah Meadon one of my favourite dragons. They donate 5% of all their net profits to charity and all their products are made from 100% recycled materials.

I do like the feel of this towel it doesn’t have quite the same static feel that other microfibre products have and it is HUGE it will make a great blanket for the garden AND I even manged to fold it back up to put it back in the storage bag – Winner!

Missed out on the box? Don’t worry you can grab yourself one of these towel on amazon here

Queen Eraser RRP £3.99

This reminds me of those little bobble head things people have on their dashboards in the car. It is for ‘erasing ones mistakes’ in pencil and colouring pencil.

They are based just down the road from me in Brierley Hill. It’s cute but I will likely pass it on to one of my daughters as it isn’t something I would use.

You can grab one for yourself at Gift Republic here

Poppy Lane Mini Notepad RRP £2.75

Make it a daily habit to record the best thing of the day and start a Happiness Jar or Box. Use this cute notepad to record your best bit of the day, perhaps make it part of your child’s bedtime routine.

This notepad is 10cm square and contains 50 pages.

Source : Poppy Lane

This is a really cute little notepad. I will definitely just use it for general note taking because I ALWAYS need a bit of paper to scribble on.

Poppy Lane do some great stuff though check them out here

Dr Botanicals Apothecary Sun Protection Body Cream RRP £35

I get alot of Dr Botanicals stuff in subscription boxes so this brand is quite well known to me.

It is 50ml (maybe just enough for 1 body application as it says to apply a thick layer) and SPF 30. Weirdly it does have a warning on it that it can only be used for Adults 18+.

It will be great for throwing in my handbag to use on my face throughout the day.

You can buy this online directly from Dr Botanicals here

The Business Box – Box 2 Summary

So that’s 2 out of my 3 boxes delivered, this one had a total RRP of £89.74.

I am still not sure on this box but maybe number 3 will win me over. They had set the bar high with that personalised mug in box 1!
