Gaz and I tried The Dart Side back when it first opened and to be honest we weren’t very impressed (hence I didn’t write up about it!) But Miles and I thought we would give it a second chance…

Pool : £10 per hour for up to 6 players
The website states;
“Let’s be honest, pool needs no introduction! Come and try out our beautiful Signature Tournament Pro Edition Pool Table. It really does play as good as it looks!“
Darts : £20 per hour for up to 6 players
The website states;
“Forget chalk boards and complicated maths, The Dart Side has taken the game of darts to the next level, with our interactive darts system we’ve enabled you to play a whole host of fun games with your friends – you don’t have to be a pro player, or a whizz at maths to have fun.
We use a real dartboard and real darts to deliver an authentic darts playing experience, pumped up with some super cool tech! “
Our Experience
We came to play darts! It’s not just any old darts, it’s interactive darts which makes it somewhat more interesting.
Each lane has its own screen where you can choose your games and it automatically keeps score as the board tracks where the darts land. You can add your names and choose an avatar which will be yours for the duration of your games.
We booked an hour and we managed to get through all the games available and played a couple twice. Each game is slightly different from standard darts to various points based games with different graphics to show your progress.
They do also have a bar so pink gin and lemonade it was for me – fairly sure that helped me with my 10-0 win over Miles!
They do advertise ‘food’ on their website but we haven’t seen any mention of food in the venue either time we have been! The facebook page mentions Big Dogz Tacos but looks like they are more of an occasional pop up.
We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quiet (was just us on the darts) Although it was an ok activity for Miles and I, I think it would be better with a group of you. I felt like I barely sat down before it was my go again!
