Strawberry Picking in Worcestershire

Today we decided to go strawberry picking at Bell’s Farm not far from us in Worcester towards Kidderminster

Where is Bell’s Farm located?

Bell’s Farm is located on the Worcester Road (A4025) Hartlebury, near Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, DY13 9SA. The What3Words Location is ///hydration.octopus.groom

They are open 9am – 5pm, 7 days a week all year and free parking is available.

How much does Strawberry Picking cost?

It is free to get onto the strawberry picking fields, just grab a basket in the pop up cafe on the way in. They have smaller baskets (which we went for) or larger baskets to choose from.

A filled smaller basket will cost around £8-9 (our 2 baskets cost us around £8.50) or a filled larger basket will cost around £16. You only pay for the strawberrys you pick – they weigh them at the end.

They do also have potatos, broad beans, raspberries, herbs and a few other options on the Pick your own (depending on seasonal availability)

Once you’ve grabbed your basket(s) head straight on up to the strawberry picking fields.

The field is huge and you won’t be short of strawberries to pick from! We made Holly and Oscar pick a line and stay on it rather than have them running all over the place and it worked quite well.

We did notice there are alot more strawberries at the top of the hill so might be worth heading there first if you go!

It wasn’t too busy today and luckily it was slightly overcast after this mornings rain so it wasn’t unbearable hot either.

Holly and Oscar both filled their baskets around half way which we thought would be plenty for them (although Oscar ate pretty much his WHOLE basket full within a few minutes of getting home!)

Facilities at Bell’s Farm

Along with the various pick your own options, on site you’ll find a farm shop, a small pop up cafe tent with a playground, toilets including a disabled toilet and baby change facilities.

Once you’ve done your strawberry picking you can pop into the cafe for coffee and a cake for £5.50, they also had a selection of ice creams & paninis available. There is seating available in the pop up tent or on one of the benches outside.

Farm Shop Produce

Free parking is available onsite and don’t forget to check out the farm shop with The Little Black Pig Butchery and even locally made alcohol!

We did grab some of the 3 for £10 meat packs and can’t wait to try those over the weekend. We also couldn’t leave without cake! Lemon Drizzle Slices and some Fruit Scones for Gaz to enjoy with the strawberries we picked.

Bell’s Farm Play Area

There is a small play area next to all the seating where Holly and Oscar played for a bit. It isn’t massive but kept them amused for a while anyway.

We all had a great time and will definitely be back 🥰🍓🥔🍓🍓🍓🍓
