Deliveroo is famous for its food delivery service, we are sure you’ve seen the adverts or the delivery riders with the distinctive green bags, but did you know you can also get groceries delivered? (Delivery area dependent)
Deliveroo was founded in 2013 by Will Shu and his childhood friend Greg Orlowski. It started as a London online food delivery company but soon expanded and now has over 2,000 delivery cyclists and drivers across the United Kingdom.
When we were stuck at home with Covid it was a real lifeline for us, especially as we live so far from our families. The stores that deliver to us include Co Op, One Stop, BP and Aldi – And when we would run out of bread or milk we could have some delivered usually within 20 minutes which was perfect for us.
You can track the progress of your food and delivery rider in real time on the deliveroo app too which is really handy for getting to the door before they press the bell and wake up the kids!
If you are lucky enough to be near a Morrisons they also deliver!
Deliveroo Plus Subscription
We also chose to sign up for Deliveroo plus meaning we save on the delivery charges (some min order limits for free deliveries still apply) and as we use it 2-3 times a week for takeaway food we see the savings adding up – otherwise you can just pay the delivery fee, which varies by restaurant / distance for delivery
There are 2 options for it, it is a monthly reoccurring charge so do make sure you cancel it when it’s no longer a saving for you – If you have Amazon Prime you can now get Silver Deliveroo Plus for free.
If you don’t already have an account then Join me on Deliveroo and get £10.00 off across your first 4 orders. ➡️ https://roo.it/christinej-fy3a
I’d love to know what you order 😋
