We were super excited to be back at our holiday home this weekend at Haven Holiday Village Burnham on Sea!
We haven’t visited since last October so it feels like forever ago
With the new online check in there is no longer long queues to wait for keys at reception if you are a guest, you’ll be given your pack on arrival at the gate, your holiday home will be cleaned and sealed so you know its all ready for you 😀
We didn’t waste any time getting the kids (big and small!) Out onto the sports courts playing football. It wasn’t quite the original Aston Villa v Liverpool defeat but good to get them out playing
We also had a twice daily visit (around 1 & 5pm) of the Haven Ice Cream van so be rude not to have one! Holly loved hers as you can see, unfortunately the old story of ‘oh no they are playing music so they’ve run out of ice cream’ doesn’t wash with ours so ice cream was a staple food for the week
English Sunshine
We were actually really fortunate with the weather, the week before it had been showing rain ALL WEEK but we actually had double figures and sunshine for most of the week
Activities are now pre-bookable on the app, again no queuing at the activity hut to find its all sold out! We did Archery, Target shooting, Bungee Trampolines, Go Karts and mini sports (which was mini archery this week) along with 2 swimming sessions – the pedalos were also open along with the high ropes, mini golf and lots of Nature Rocks sessions with the fabulous Ranger Laura
Food wise – Papa Johns and Cooks (chipshop) are both open for collection and PJP also does delivery to your van. There are also local restaurants who will deliver to the front gate if you fancy an indian, chinese, kebab or desserts!
We visited the Mash and Barrel (no booking required but you can book on the app if you want too) there is an undercover outside dining area alongside the normal outdoor tables. Although they are working on a smaller menu there were still lots of choices (don’t forget to ask for an activity pack for the children!)
Local Area
Offsite we also visited The Reed Arms Wetherspoons on the seafront, no booking required but it was pretty busy so you may have to be patient for a table – again you can order on the app but you can also order with a member of staff if you can find one 🙈
We had a fabulous week and we hope you are looking forward to visiting Haven this year! Let us know if you are heading on holiday soon 😊 #MyHavenDays
Can’t wait to be back!
